Oxygen Generators Handed Over To Red Cross Hospital

Assam Governor and the President of Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch Jagdish Mukhi handed over seven Oxygen Generators to the Red Cross Hospitals in Assam Monday.  In a function held at the Raj Bhawan on the oxygen generators were handed over to the various Red Cross Hospitals.  Three  were handed over to the IRCS, Guwahati District Branch for the Red Cross Hospital, Chandmari while 2 Oxygen Generators each were handed over to the IRCS, Silchar and Karimganj District Branches to be used in Red Cross Hospitals, Silchar and Karimganj respectively. Biren Sonowal, Acting Chairman of IRCS, Assam State Branch, Diganta Bujarbaruah, General Secretary, IRCS, Assam State Branch and Dipayan Chakraborty, MLA, Silchar along with other district and state branch officials also graced the occasion.  The Oxygen Generators are provided by the Indian Red Cross Society, National Head Quarters, New Delhi in association with Canadian Red Cross and one such Oxygen Generator will cover 40 beds. The Oxygen Generators have been flown in from Canada via direct flight to Guwahati.
