Indian Rescuers Are Back Home After Winning Hearts in Turkey And Syria
The devastating earthquake that shook Turkey and Syria killed thousands of people and rendered many more homeless. In this moment of peril rescue teams from many countries arrived at Turkey. India was one of the very first nations to respond to the crisis despite Turkey being an adversary of India. India also responded to the crisis in Syria while the rest of the world ignored the country. While Indian rescue teams from the NDRF jumped into action to rescue people trapped in the debris, the medical teams from the Indian army set up hospitals and rendered life-saving medical services to the affected people.
Undoubtedly the gesture from India is being hailed by the people of the affected countries. The mission named Operation Dost has earned praise from the Turkish and Syrian people. The Indian teams were given emotional farewell at the airport by Turkish people.
