Guwahati Shopping Malls Cannot Collect Parking Fee: Guwahati Municipal Corporation

The shopping malls in Guwahati will no longer be allowed to collect parking fees from customers. The Guwahati Municipal Corporation has issued an order to all shopping malls and business establishments in this regard. For a long time a lot of shopping malls and other business establishments in the city had been collecting parking fees from customers and it had been a cause of resentment.

Addressing the public complaints the Guwahati Municipal Corporation has issued this order.  The order issued by the GMC commissioner Devashis Sharma also mentions that field visits by GMC officials had revealed that the malls were collecting parking fees.
